스탑 록히드마틴 국제행동의 날 퍼포먼스 개최  록히드마틴 연례 총회 맞아 무기산업 규탄하는 국제행동 진행

1. 오늘(4/21) 평화운동 단체 전쟁없는세상은 록히드마틴 한국지사가 위치한 서울 여의도 IFC몰에서 록히드마틴의 비윤리적인 무기산업을 규탄하며 퍼포먼스를 진행했다. 록히드마틴의 연례 총회를 맞아 열린 오늘 퍼포먼스는 전 세계 100여개 평화ㆍ반군사주의 단체들이 함께하는 ‘스탑 록히드마틴 국제행동의 날 (Global Mobilization to #StopLockheedMartin)’ 캠페인의 일환으로 진행되었다.  
2. 참가자들은 각각 무기상인과 저승사자, 전쟁피해자를 상징하는 분장을 하고 ‘록히드마틴, 전쟁장사를 멈춰라’, ‘록히드마틴♥WAR’, ‘록히드마틴 주주들은 우리의 죽음을 보라’ 등의 피켓을 들고 퍼포먼스를 진행했다. 
3. 이들은 “전 세계에 무기를 공급하고 있는 세계 최대 규모의 무기 생산원 록히드마틴이 전쟁과 전쟁준비를 통해 벌어들이는 돈이 연간 약 650억 달러에 달한다”며 “예멘, 팔레스타인, 콜롬비아, 시리아, 웨스트파푸아 등 세계 곳곳에서 벌어지고 있는 전쟁과 유혈사태로 부터 막대한 돈을 벌어들이고 있다”고 밝혔다. 
4. 또한 “러시아의 우크라이나 침공 이후 록히드마틴의 주가가 21%나 상승했으며, 이들은 또한 세계에서 가장 억압적인 정부와 오랫동안 유지되고 있는 독재정권들에게도 무기를 공급한다”고 비판했다. 이어 “끔찍한 살상과 억압이 록히드마틴에게는 최대의 비즈니스 기회가 되고 있다”고 덧붙였다.
5. 참가자들은 록히드마틴에 전달한 서한을 통해, “무기 생산을 철회하고 평화적인 산업으로 전환하기 위한 계획을 즉시 실행할 것”을 요구하며 “이 전환의 과정은 정의로워야 하며 노동자들의 생계와 권리가 보장되어야 한다”고 덧붙였다.  
6. 스탑 록히드마틴 국제행동의 날(Global Mobilization to #StopLockheedMartin)은 록히드마틴의 연례총회가 열리는 4월 21일에 시작해 28일까지 총 7일 동안 진행될 예정이다. 이 기간 동안 미국, 영국, 일본, 캐나다, 호주 등 세계 곳곳의 평화ㆍ반군사주의 단체들이 각 지역의 록히드마틴 사무실, 공장, 연구시설 등에서 비윤리적인 무기산업을 규탄하는 행동을 벌인다.

세계 최대의 군수산업체인 귀 록히드마틴사는 50개 이상의 국가들을 무장시키고 있다고 자랑합니다. 귀사가 무기를 공급한 나라들 중에는 세계에서 가장 억압적이거나 독재정권을 유지하고 있는 나라들도 있습니다. 록히드마틴은 핵무기 생산에 관여하고 있을 뿐만 아니라, 끔찍하고도 파괴적인 F-35전투기를 생산해오고 있습니다. 또한 귀사가 제조하고 있는 사드 미사일은 전 세계의 긴장을 고조시키는 데 일조하고 있습니다. 록히드마틴은 각종 범죄들에 쓰이는 무기들을 제조한 것, 그리고 각종 비리와 위법행위에 대한 책임이 있습니다.

이에 우리는 록히드마틴에 요구합니다. 무기 생산을 철회하고 평화적인 산업으로 전환하기 위한 계획을 즉시 실행하십시오. 이러한 전환은 정의로운 방식으로 이루어져야 합니다. 방위산업에 종사하고 있는 노동자들의 생계수단을 유지하며, 노동조합의 참여가 보장되어야 합니다.

By far the world’s biggest weapons dealer, Lockheed Martin brags about arming over 50 countries. These include many of the most oppressive governments and dictatorships around the world. Lockheed Martin is also involved in the production of nuclear weapons, as well as being the producer of the horrific and disastrous F-35, and the THAAD missile systems used to escalate tensions around the globe. Apart from the crimes its products are manufactured for, Lockheed Martin is frequently found guilty of fraud and other misconduct.

Therefore, we urge Lockheed Martin to immediately initiate a plan for conversion from weapons manufacture to peaceful industries with a just transition for arms industry workers that secures the livelihoods of workers and includes the participation of unions.
